Our Peer Networks foster connections between rural doctors with shared priorities and inform RDAQ's advocacy efforts.

Regular in-person and online meetings bring together rural doctors from all over Queensland to discuss issues and concerns as well as ideas to enhance healthcare in rural and remote areas of the state.

There are five active Peer Networks, each chaired by an RDAQ Management Committee Member.

Doctors trained overseas face unique challenges and are vital to ensuring Queenslanders have access to doctors if, when and where they need them. 

Connect with other rural doctors who trained overseas for companionship, advocacy and guidance.

Qld Doctors in Rural Training Network (DIRT)

Doctors in training are the future of rural medicine.

Connect with other like-minded doctors and help shape the future of healthcare in rural and remote Queensland. 

Qld Rural GP Network 

Rural General Practice in Queensland is a unique mix, including teams across private, community controlled and HHS facilities.

Our Rural General Practice Network helps shape RDAQ's advocacy agenda by highlighting the crucial issues impacting GPs.

Qld Maternity Services Network

Doctors with special interest, advanced skills or specialisation in maternity care provide rural communities with a veil of protection and access to services close to home.

Join together with peers to help develop strategies to overcome issues impacting doctors, rural women and their families.

Qld Rural Specialists & Advanced Skills Network

Specialist Doctors provide rural and remote Queenslanders with access to care they otherwise might not receive, or, have to travel excessive distances to access at great cost. Rural doctors with advanced skills also need navigate complex environments to maintain skills and ensure rural communities have the widest possible access to care closest to home.
